The Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) is a world-class motorsport venue located in Sakhir, Bahrain. Opened in 2004, it is best known for hosting the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix. The track was designed by Hermann Tilke and features a 5.412 km (3.363 mi) layout with 15 turns, offering a mix of long straights and technical corners that encourage overtaking.

BIC is unique for its night races, thanks to its state-of-the-art floodlighting system. The desert setting creates challenges like wind-blown sand and varying track temperatures. The circuit also hosts other motorsport events, including endurance racing and drag racing.

Bahrain has become the preferred venue for Formula 1 pre-season testing due to its reliable weather conditions, modern facilities, and similarity to many race circuits on the calendar. Testing usually takes place a week or two before the season opener, allowing teams to fine-tune their cars and assess performance under realistic race conditions.
